Erika Streicher, Administrative Assistant
I believe that everyday requires intelligent, kind action. My mission is to listen enthusiastically and intently, giving helpful feedback. My goals are how I live my life: Strive; I’m the youngest of six raised in rural Southern Ohio where I still have family and friends who are farmers and that grit and determination was instilled from the start. Engage in change and habitual education; I have a Master’s in Policy History from BGSU and had my sites set on working at the State Department, but those plans changed as I raised my own family. Working in the schools with Special Needs children was great when my children were small, but then I decided to dive into what I husband and I were doing as a side business, Real-estate. Coldwell Banker in Findlay, Ohio, was a good start but I was still striving, so I opened a small branch of Danberry Realtors when the market took a downturn. I went to Walmart and quickly moved up to an Assistant Manager and then Asset Protection, which brought me to Lake Erie. After nearly a decade in retail, I decided to change again to focus on my personal goals. Take responsibility and rejoice: Lake Erie is the legacy I will leave my children and their children. The health of the lake is paramount to the health and happiness of hundreds of thousands of people for drinking water, fishing, and recreation. I’m proud to work with the Lake Erie Foundation to Save the Lake.
